Flag Island Mississippi <see map> is a sand bar located north of Jackson on the Pearl River.  On any given weekend, many folks show up to hang out and enjoy the great outdoors.

Wellllll.... we put another one in the Books!
Gonna take me a little while to get everything posted.
I let y'all know when I've got it all done.

It was a beautiful weekend all around, however,
Hurricane Gustav clipped the Monday portion
of the weekend.  Best I can tell, nobody sunk,
drove a car into the river or otherwise sustained
major injuries.  All in all, a good time was had!

For many people, this marks the end of the river season.
For some of us die hards, this is the start of the best time.
No crowds, easy to park on the Island and less traffic
all the way around.  Web Guy will continue to post pics
as I get up there.  Just less frequently.
